Monday craft we decided to have a patriotic bake off.

4th of July starting out right with a great group working out with me!  I may have bribe them with free festive sunglasses;)

Then we had our red and blue paint fight.  I bought something new to use this year. Little paint balls to throw at each other.  And although they said blue and red it was more green and pink.  And they hurt, haha.  Well I learned not to use them again but we still had fun.  We ended up squeezing them as we got close to people so they would just pop on their shirt.

The job got down, we were very colorful.

Then we headed over to a friends house to have dinner and hang out.  We bought an ice cream ball you can roll around to make ice cream.

It worked and the ice cream was good, sadly it only made a small amount , but had candy to out in to make up for it.

Friends make life better!  Fun evening with the Fergoso's.

Then we headed to Trophy Club right next to our stake center for more fireworks.  Got to see more friends!
A wonderful 4th of July.

This weeks adventure we headed to Frisco to the National Video Game.

Really fun place.  The kids had a blast checking ti out.  Then the Frisco library was right next door.  Its super impressive!  Huge and lots of free things to do.

And on the way home we stopped by the Cowboy's training center.
Taking a little scooter ride over to CVS to get some ice cream.

Love these little adventures.
Friday Clifton went with a friend to a water park.  We decided to go to Alley cats to play.
Of course Hazen wanted to do mini golf.
While McKay and Stanley wanted to do go carts.

Thank goodness for Groupon we were able to play some arcade games as well.

That night Alex and I got to sneak away for a date.  Fort Worth Rodeo

Fun night.
We came home to McKay asleep with Hazen.  He was having a hard time going to bed and she laid with him and ended up falling asleep as well.  Cute!  Plus Captain Cuddles had to join in on all the snuggles.

Other things from the week.  Alex and I went for a walk after putting the younger kids to bed.  Alex spotted this huge spider.  And after further examination discovered those are her babies on her back. Oh my golly, it was soooooo gross.  We let it be but had a hard time falling asleep wondering if it followed me home and let all her babies take over my house ;)

Monday crafting... I found these cute marker paintings.  These use markers to fill each square with a color.  They follow a pattern and they turned out cute.

Tuesday adventure we headed to Dove Park with some friends.

Always a fun park and always better with friends.

This week we played hard with friends...  Altitude Trampoline Park

Then ice cream and playing with friends.
Swimming with friends.
We are pretty lucky to have so many wonderful friends.

Family fun... sidewalk chalk contest.

Each kid got a square and had fun filling it in with whatever they wanted.  Then we let social media vote.  Alex's colorful tree won.

Cute chalky toes.
Friday morning the older kids, Alex, and I spent the morning helping at the local food bank.

Always good to serve the community.

Friday night we went to the Haslet firework festival.  When e were walking around trying to find a spot to set up our chairs Stanley spotted a baby bird.  He clearly was lost and not sure how to get back.  So we made it our mission to find ts nest or at least a nest.  After a while and people telling us they already looked we found a nest.  Not sure if its his, but better than hopping around the ground with a lot of foot traffic.

We sure hope mama bird finds him n=and it ends in a happy story.

It was a fun festival and fun to see friends too.

Saturday morning we got up and ready to run or scooter.  Bringing scooters was a great idea.

We had a super fun time running.  Had a couple tears but everyone kept going and finished.  It happened to be a cloudy and cooler morning which was such a blessing.

Then we headed to the church to take our turn cleaning the building.

Busy but great Saturday.

Sunday before the 4th.  Looking patriotic and feeling blessed.
