Spring Break 2019

Updates on Clifton -
This week we have had many talks about how much I do, chores, cook, fill the pantry, etc... I think he got the message.  What a sweet gesture.  I gave him his money back cause I don't get paid to be a parent ;)

Updates on McKay -
Loved having more time at home to color, read, and chill.  She can very much be happy at home all day.

Updates on Stanley -
Was very happy to have McKay and Clifton home more.  Although you wouldn't know that because he is ten times more naughty when they are home :)

Updates on Hazen -
Eight months old!  He is getting around by rolling and army crawling like a seal. I have tried to get it on video but havent been successful.

We made the most of our stay-cation spring break.  I tried to plan a fun activity every day.  Monday was April fools so we started out our day silly.
Grandma S left the kids "tootsie rolls".
While they slept I drew on my kiddos faces.  McKay wasn't amused, Stanley on the other hand cried when I said we had to wipe it off.
Then we made brown-e's for Dad when he got home.  We made real brownies as well cause they are his favorite.

We didn't plan too much Monday but simply enjoyed the sunshine and spent time outside.
The kids made a Caterpillar home.  I took pieces off of the leaf that night so they thought a caterpillar visited their home.
Picnic at the park with friends.

Tuesday we traveled to Tacoma to give Debbie Dolittle's Petting Zoo a try.  It was fun!
 Hazen's face makes me laugh!
 Such a cute miniature cow.
A fun trip.  It was a little too pricey so I am not sure if we will go back very often but we enjoyed it.

That night we took advantage of no cub scouts or AD and 6.50 movies and went to see How to Train a Dragon 3.
Cute movie.

Wednesday we went to Bainbridge Aquatic Center to play.
We filled the pool full of friends!
On our way home we stopped to grab some goodies at Sluy's Bakery.

Thursday I got to sneak away for a lunch date with fiends.  Then McKay had a play date and the boys and I went out to play.
 Basketball!
Baseball and running around.  Happy to have another day of sunshine.

Friday I got to sneak out again for another lunch date with more friends.  I am pretty blessed!
Then we went to try out the new Trampoline park in Tacoma.
It didn't disappoint.  So excited to have one closer!

Saturday and Sunday was General Conference.  Between sessions Saturday we faced the rain to keep our tradition alive and went to the driving range.
And when we got their the rain stopped and the sun appeared!

Sunday we got to go to Grandma and Grandpa P's house to watch conference and eat yummy food!

More fun from the week...
We spent time learning a fun Baby Shark dance!

Crawling in the bath.  Cute tushy!

I upped the kids chair game and I ain't mad about it!
Clifton on the other hand, may be the reason I upped the game.

Grandma and Grandpa S Visit

Updates on Clifton -
Had his conference this week and is a great student!  Smart, listens, participates and helps.  He loves school and his teacher so very much.

Updates on McKay -
Had her conference this week too and she is one smart girl and loves to be the helper.  However she hates a challenge.  She like being doing things she knows but when their is something she has never seen or done before she often freaks out.  She also is struggling with her attitude, but we are working hard to be positive and polite.

Updates on Stanley. -
I have kind of slacked with teaching Stanley but he has finally got his letters down.  Well he still mixes some up but he knows them!  Numbers on the other hand is still a work in progress.

Updates on Hazen -
Practicing all day everyday to be on the move.  He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks.  And often can scoot to what he wants.

My turn to teach preschool this week.  Letter T for Teeth.  I do love teaching and a fun theme!
Fun preschool this week. Now maybe Stanley will brush his teeth more ;)

Tuesday the Bears and I have been planning a Carnival for pack meeting.  We invited the whole family and Activity Day girls.
They did a great job planning and setting up.  It was a fun night!

Wednesday my parents came into town!  Thursday we had no school due to a teachers conference. So we all got to play with Grandma and Grandpa.
First a hike and playing a the park.  Then swimming at their hotel.
 Hazen loves splashing!
Then that night we headed to Ocean5 for bowling, pizza and arcade games.  I accidentally booked Duck pin, which I had no idea what that was.  It turned out to be super fun.
The kids and Grandpa could throw the ball a lot easier.
We then found out it was National Laser Tag day so they had free laser tag
McKay wasn't interested and the others are too little so Clifton and I hung around with Grandma to play a late night game of laser tag.  This was Cliftons first time playing and he loved it.

Friday the kids went back to school but it was only half day so after we went to Boomshaka on Grandma and Grandpa's way back home.
That Stanley boy is not afraid of anything!  But he sure makes me scared!

Saturday morning was Clifton's Pinewood Derby.
I helped with his car and it got last, BUT he had a good attitude about it and had fun.  PLUS we don't have to go to finals ;)

The kids and I then went to see the Easter Bunny and look for eggs at Walmart.
Free and simple activity but the kids had a good time.

It was a beautiful day so we ended our day with a dinner over the fire and fun outside till it got too dark.
Hazen is very entertained by his siblings.  I just love his giggle!
The sunshine got me excited for summer so that night we buzzed the boys heads and boy do they look like brothers!

Hazen looking his Sunday best.
Goodness he is cute!
Another beautiful day so we. went out for a hike to enjoy the sunshine.
Then it was time for Sunday naps :)

We need our Sunday with a great lesson Alex prepared.
Locking the kids ups and teaching them about Priesthood Keys.
