Back to life.  The kids have been wanting to earn money.  Clifton wants to get a new bike so we taught him how to use the pressure washer.
And they wanted to have a Popsicle, cookies, and lemonade stand. We wanted to make the popsicles.

It wasn't getting hit up very much.
But friends to the rescue.  They took the golf cart around asking roofers (which there were many caste everyones still getting their roof fixed) and they earned a good amount of money.

Clifton made a flier and I posted in on our neighborhood FB page.  We had so many people interested in having Clifton clean out their garbage cans.

We worked all day and he earned 200 dollars! We went to Walmart and bought his new bike and had extra to buy a new video game too.  so proud of him for working hard!

Playgroup at a splash pad but the olde boys went fishing.

Then we spent the rest of the week getting ready for Grandma Stanley.

Making her favorite treat, strawberry pizza.

We thought it would be fun to prank Grandma with one of our giant teddy bears.

So happy to have Grandma S here! And she's here for a month!

We kept very very busy while Grandma was here.  I hosted a Mixxedfit class for ladies at my church.  We had a blast!

Showed her some of the things she didn't get to see last time she was here because of Covid.  Water Gardens.

Space Jam movie.
Nash Farms. Historic farm in Grapevine.

Botanical Gardens in Grapevine.

Fishing
Catching our first fish, grasshoppers for the win.

Grandma doing sewing projects with McKay.

They made scrunchies and an apron.

Top golf with friends!

Play group at Little Elm lake

McKay made cookies and lemonade for our the guys working on our roof.

Such a sweet girl!
Even though the roofers put a hole in our ceiling!  But they fixed it.

Trip to Buccee's.

For some yummy treats.

Colorado - McClellan Family Reunion

After the 4th of July we got int he car for a long drive to Colorado.  I planned a few stops along the way to help break up the drive.  But they didn't work out great, ha!  First stop Wichita Falls but its man made and I guess they turn off the water sometimes.  And I guess when we planned to visit was the sometimes.  But still good to stretch our legs.
Palo Duro Canyon but they were full so we didn't get into the park but saw some of the views.  Another fail on my part.  But we learned it is the second largest canyon in the US.

Cadillac Ranch spray painting cars they put into the ground.  But it had just randomly down poured so LOTS of mud.

But still a fun stop.  None of the stops worked out the way we planned it but I still think it was a successful first leg of the trip.

Spent the night in NM.

Then the next day the one stop we made, made up for the day before fails.  Stopped in Colorado Springs Cliff Dwellings.

SO SO cool!  We had a lot of fun.

But then we arrived at the YMCA lodge we thought it was at and found out there are two YMCA camps.  We went to the wrong one,  the one we were supposed to go to was another 2 hours away.  But that meant we had to drive through the Rocky Mountains.  And that was the most beautiful peaceful part of the drive.  The Rocky Mountains were amazing!

AND we finally made it.  Time to see family!  We haven't had a reunion in years.  Ever since Grandpa M passed away.
We had to get out and enjoy the nature.  Hike to a waterfall with Aunt Andrea.

Bubble fun!

Miniature golf.
Roller skating.
Giant inner tube slide.

My cousin married Alex's cousin.  We got to know each other through the family reunions and it was so nice to see him again and catch up.

And meet his newest addition.

On our way home we made a pit stop at Colorado's Great Sand Dunes.

This was everyones favorite part of the trip.  SO dang fun! Super awesome trip.  So happy that things went well.
