Alex headed out of town again for work this week.  This time to Florida.  We made sure to stay busy while he was gone.

My turn to teach preschool, Easter theme!

Love this group so much.  Such a fun day.

It has been a week from hell with Stanley this week. I thought maybe I was just tired and Alex wasn't home so I wasn't as patient, but then his teacher reached out everyday this week about how hard he was being.  She hasn't seen him this bad before, absolutely refusing to work or cooperate at all.
I was at my wits end honestly thinking of contacting a behavioral specialist.  I went to bed every night crying and praying to figure out how to handle him.  We had just upped his medicine and it seemed to be working the opposite.  I felt lost and confused on what to do net for him.  THEN Clifton made a big discovery... he found a pill in a cup Stanley had for breakfast.

Stanley had been spitting his pills into his OJ every morning. So he wasn't taking it at all.  Which explained A LOT and really proved to me that the medicine is really working even if to has side effects. We still have lots to figure out and learn with Stanley but I am thankful that this week was abnormal and medicine is helping.

Pee Wee soccer is still going strong.  Love teaching these kiddos and Hazen is having a blast!

Saturday soccer games.  This time it was a hot one so popsicles were needed.

That night we went on a date with friends and played a Zombie Scavenger Hunt.

It was fun but our partners in crime were my favorite night.  We WON! But we cheated haha.  Wins a win right!?

Sunday bakeday we made Peep houses.

They turned out pretty cute but waffler cookies aren't the easiest to build with.

Got home just in time for the tummy bug to hit our house!
Stanley had the weirdest symptoms with it.  He is super thin and not gaining weight probably due to his ADHD medication.  We had been focusing so hard to getting him to gain weight and his circulation has always been bad, but it was bad this week when he was sick.  He complained he was freezing and his skin looked like this.  We hurried and got him in the bath and that seemed to help but this poor kid.  He has always had bad circulation since he was born but not having any fat on him is not helping.  I wish we could find a medication that worked without any side effects, but that's probably not possible.  Thankfully the bug only lasted a couple days and they got back to normal.

Wednesdays activity for the YW was watercoloring.  Clifton's turned out so good!

April fools day!  We still had a couple kids sick but that wasn't going to stop me from having fun with the kids.
Clifton's phone!
He didn't find it as funny as I did.

This one was for Alex, haha!

Happy April fools day!

Clifton started a job mowing a friends lawn to help raise money for the youth trip to Nauvoo this year. Proud of him!

Conference weekend!  Tried a new thing to get the kids engaged.  It went well.  Next time I think I will make the kids tell me something they learned from the talks to earn it, at least the older kids.

Great weekend!  Always good to hear the prophets voice and to feel the spirit.  It's nice that my kids are getting older and can listen better.

In between conference fun we played food ninja.  Used fruit and eggs tossed at each other.
Last day of spring break!  It happened to be the first day if spring and free cone day at DQ.

Yum!
Then our friends invited us over to do Nailed It challenge.  So much fun getting together and baking.  The kids decided it needed to be boy versus girls, except Hazen really wanted to be on the girls team.

They turned out cute and the judge declared the girls as the winners.

Tuesday night the kids had games in the evening.  Cold night under the lights.
We had to bundle up and cuddle.  Not a bad way to watch a game.

Wednesday night the youth had kickball night.
Love these youth so much!

Friday Alex and I headed off to Vegas to celebrate Trissa and Jim's birthday.  We got a friend to watch the kids, she just returned from her mission and could use some a job.  We have never done that before but she was amazing with the kids.

It was a jam packed weekend.  Went to Kaa Circus Soleil, Jim got us free tickets to Carrot Top, exploring the strip, dinners out, top golf and spending time together.  We also stayed at a trailer park and it was not as nice as the pictures seemed.  Haha it was an experience!  Next time we will just stay at a hotel.  Lesson learned!  My favorite part was just being with my favorite people again. I love these people very much.

The kids didn't seem to miss us at all.  We cannot thank the friends that helped so we could make this trip happen.  Clifton stayed with the Sagers and never had a boring moment.

Bekah had fun with the kids and we had a couple other friend, Janelle and Kenzie help play with them.
We are blessed with amazing friends willing to help and my kids didn't seem to miss us one bit.
