Time is flying by!

Move it Monday we went to play at a splash pad.  I wasn't 100% sure it would be open and about cried when we got there and it was open!
It felt so good for my kids to play with other kids and I even got to talk to other adults!

Then we picked up my Mom from the airport.  Grandma Stanley's in town!
We are all so excited to have her here.  The kids made a fort in Clifton's room and shared the room so Grandma could have McKay's room.

Tuesday we took Grandma downtown Fort Worth.  Un fortunately the Water Gardens were closed and the Stock Yard was empty.  But we made some fun out of it by shopping the cute little stores.

We played lots and lots of games with her while she was here.  Stanley favorite by far was Pretty Pretty Princess.

Then we had to take her over to our neighborhood pool to cool off and shared the pool with some ducks.

Wednesday we went to the zoo and it was busy!  I was suprised but we had a great time.

And then we cooled off in our backyard.
And had a picnic at our favorite park and loved the wildlife we spotted.

Thursday we tried a new place.  Fort Worth Beach and had lots of fun playing in the sun.
Then that evening we walked/scootered Trinity Trail.

Friday we adventured to Glen Rose to explore Dinosaur Valley State Park.
We walked along in the water and found dinosaur footprints.  I wasn't expecting the opportunity to get super wet so wasn't dressed for the occasion but there was a place to jump off of rocks into water so Stanley and I took the opportunity.

Saturday just my mom and I went on a trip.  We went horseback riding at Benbrook Stables.
Such a wonderful time out and it felt so good to get a break from the kids for a little.

Wen spent he rest of the day playing at home.
Grandma made her and Grandpa out play dough and I think it looks just like them.
Then we had to go swimming again.

Sunday we had a nice church service and we enjoyed our guest speaker Grandma.  Then the while Hazen was napping Grandma, the older kids, and I went for a hike at Airfield Falls.
We had a blast till someone shouted snake in the water.  We never saw it but didn't want to mess around.  Everyone got out and we decided to leave.
Then we went home and made homemade Airfryed Maple bars.  YUMMMY!
