Monday was a fun start to our day.  I dropped the younger kids off at school and as soon as I got home the tornado alarms started going off.  So we were in shelter for an hour.  The kids at school were in shelter too.  Finally it cleared and all seemed fine.  But about 15 miles away from us got hit by a tornado!  Thankfully not too bad and I didn't hear any bad injuries or anything.

But what a morning!

Wednesday the YW and the deacons went caroling at the assisted living center.  They accidentally double booked us and another group was there.  But it all worked out.  We decided to sing only spiritual songs and shared jokes in between songs.  It was so wonderful.  Then we stayed around and ate cookies with them while chatting.  Such a good night!!!  I love things like this.  People were in a bad mood, some didn't want to be there, BUT all left happy and uplifted.

Friday we played hooky and had fun at Great Wolf Lodge.  McKay's request for her birthday present and birthday family fun this year.

And fun we had!  My kids don't hang in there as much as I think we should for how much it cost, but it was fun.  And we had a Groupon.

More Light the World activities...
Donting toys we don't want/use anymore.

Laying wreaths at the Veterans cemetery.

We also got to help with our friends dog for the day.  So we bought him over to play in our yard since it was such a nice day.  It was a great day for the kids!  They are thrilled to have a dog for the day.

And he is such a good dog.  We didn't have him meet our cats besides through the glass door.  They were very interested though.
