Thanksgiving 2012

Updates on Clifton -
He is using his imagination a lot lately.  We greatly enjoy sitting back and watching him play with his toys.  He builds things and then tells me what it is and then makes up stories.  He also has his toys talk to each other.  I think it is super cute.
Again he continues to make us giggle!
He is our silly little guy:)

Updates on McKay -
She is walking!  And jumping:)

She is persistent and is pretty good at hopping.  She can now walk across the room.  Crawling is still her main mode of transportation.
This is McKay walking.  She is a little crazy but she sure wants to walk.

For family night we made our Thanksgiving tree.
Clifton was very cute and had a lot to say he was thankful for.  He said Jesus, grandpa/grandma, named some friends, and named some toys he has.

We had some fun this week while we were stuck inside due to that rain storm!
We love building and making tracks and cities for the track.  Clifton could spend all day riding his cars around the tracks.
I love playing with Clifton!

For Thanksgiving I made McKay a little outfit to wear.
She is a pretty cute turkey!
Thanksgiving 2012!

We spent a few days with Alex's family for Thanksgiving.
The kids love playing with their cousins.  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I was a little leery of the whole family sleeping in one room.  But we survived.  It went pretty well, but we were glad to come home and get some sleep all in our own rooms:)

While at Grandma's we made a fort and played in it all morning.  It was a fun time!

Round 2 of family photos for the Christmas card.
Another okay but not-great attempt at taking family photos.  Mainly because by the time the kids wake up from their nap it is getting dark.  We will try again and hopeful get something we love:/

Portland Thanksgiving 2012

Updates on Clifton -
He has been working on his somersaults and can do them sometimes.  He sure has a lot of energy and loves to move around.
He also is using his tongue all the time. Sticking it out while he talks and wanting to play with it.  Silly kid.
He also has started drawing and telling me what it is he is drawing.  This is Clifton's friend Benson.  Can't you tell?

Updates on McKay-
She is at a stage where she wants her mommy all day long and is not happy unless mom is holding her.  I get nothing done.  She is also climbing on everything and taking steps.  She likes to stand up by herself and then take steps.  She does not like when you stand her up.  She is silly like that:)

For family night we painted our hands to make a turkey family.
Clifton loves to paint and loves to use his hands and feet to paint.
This is how it turned out.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I framed it and put it on our door.

We went to the mall play place to get our wiggles out this week.  This is the first time we have been since McKay has learned how to crawl.  She LOVED it!
Now if my house was a big soft jungle gym McKay would be happy all day long.

Right next to the play place there was a train sitting there.  At first I thought it was just decorations for Christmas but then people got in and it moved.  So we decided to go for a ride!
They waved to everyone we passed.  It was cute, maybe annoying to others, but I thought it was cute!
McKay enjoyed it just as much as the boys did.  It is a real cute train and a fun little ride.  We will have to do it again.

This weekend we went down to Portland for the Stanley Thanksgiving.
It is always good to see family.  And Clifton loves his cousins.
Alex seemed most excited to see my brother's dog:)  Oh puppy love!
My niece had a volleyball game that weekend so we got to go and cheer her on.  Clifton helped make signs to cheer her on with.  It was a good time.  I am excited for when my kids get old enough to start playing sports on teams.  I will be one of those loud moms, just like my sister-in-law!

We tried to do a little photo shoot for our Christmas card this year but our kids were just too grumpy.
However I think we got one pretty cute picture out of it.  We will have to try again soon.

I have decided to sell Usborne books and more.  It is a great company that sells children's books.  I am excited to get selling and to have something to work towards.  I am working on my website and personalizing it and changing the domain name but for now it is...https://u3303.myubam.com/.
Please feel free to check it out and see what the company has to offer.

A Day with Grandma

Updates on Clifton -
Clifton is  getting beat up by his sister these days.  She tackles him to the floor and often sits on him and he can't get up.  He is our tiny little guy and McKay seems to take advantage of that.  You would have thought it would be the other way around.
Clifton is still loving playing games on my phone and the computer.  This is often what we see when Clifton plays games.  McKay just loves to be where her brother is and do what her brother is doing.  I actually think it is cute that she will sit and watch what Clifton is doing.  And this is really the only time they both sit still!

Updates on McKay -
She is starting to climb or try to climb on everything.  She wants to be on the couch all day long.  I have no idea what makes her want to be up there but she wants to get up there and crawl around.  So I need to be right there to make sure she does not fall off.  I don't get much done during the day:/  She took a couple steps this week.  She is not too sure about this walking thing but she will get there.
Just a cute picture of McKay yawning:)

This week was a tough week for the Peterson's home.  Daylight savings was Sunday and it threw my kiddos off.  They are waking up early and going to bed at the same time.  They are tired but are not sleeping well all because of day light savings.  I am hoping we can get them back on track soon.

A good friend was getting rid of her little exercise trampoline and offered it to us.   Of course I had to snatch it from her.
Clifton was so excited to get a trampoline and it is a great help to get his excess energy out.
McKay loves it too.  And she always has excess energy so anything to wear her out is good as well.
Clifton jumped so much his pants fell down.  He thought it was histerical!

This week we also took a day trip to visit with Grandma.  Alex took the day off and finished some things around his parents house that needed to get done.
Grandma's house had leaves to play in.  Clifton liked the crunchy sound they made when he stepped on them.
 Swinging on Grandma's porch.
Grandma time.  Our kids sure love their Grandma.  I feel so blessed to live close enough to both of our parents and that our kids can have a relationship with both sets of grandparents.
I know it is blurry but it was so stinking cute.  Clifton was rocking in a little chair that Grandma had at her house and he turned to me and said that he wanted to rock McKay.  So I let him.  They had fun!
Hey everyone look at me I am sitting in a chair!

Friday we got together with some friends and did and skittle bowling group date.  It was a ton of fun.
This is Alex doing the Robot and bowling.  A real fun night!  We have some good friends:)

Halloween and Birthday 2012

Updates on Clifton -
He is sure getting bigger and smarter.  He can work the computer and my iPhone really well.  He also can finish a sentence in a rhyming book.
We got him to go potty on the toilet again but it is still a force.  I worry and think I just need to let up because I do not want him to think of potty/toilet as a bad thing and I think he will if I continue to force him to sit on it.
This week Clifton has added a new word to his vocabulary, the word forever.  the other day we were walking down the stairs and he turned to me and said, "I need you forever mom.  Hold my hand forever."  It melted my heart.  I hope that is a promise:)  He now says that he will love us forever.  I think it is so darn cute.

He also keeps us laughing.  This week...
He liked dipping his banana in Cheerio's and eating it.
And he gathered up all his toys on our bed one morning and told me he wanted to cuddle in bed with his toys.  Silly kid!

Updates on McKay -
She sure enjoys being around her brother and following him around.  Anything he is doing she wants to join in.  He does pretty well at letting her play near him or with him until she starts breaking things he did, like train tracks or blocks.  She just wants to be like her brother so much.  It is cute:)
She also started blowing kisses.  She loves using her hands.  Any chance she gets she will wave or clap.

This week we decorated Halloween cookies as a family.  Clifton did pretty well at spreading the frosting.
McKay enjoyed eating them.

The boys and I had a week full of Halloween crafts.
First we made trick or treat bags.  We made ghost and spiders out of hand prints.  They love painting.

Then Alex had left over pumpkins from an activity he did with the YM this week so we decorated them.
 Sticker pumpkin.
 Painting!
 Making a ghost pumpkin.
All three pumpkins after we finished decorating them.  It was fun.

Halloween!!!!!!!

This year Alex and I dressed up as Donald and Daisy Duck.  Clifton and McKay dressed up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
 I LOVE this picture!

A rainy Halloween this year.  Even though it was a rainy Halloween we still had a lot of fun!
 Trunk or treating!
McKay stealing some candy.

Friday was the first game of the playoffs for the Sounders.  Thanks to wonderful grandparents, we were able to go.  Grandma and Grandpa watched our kids and got us tickets.  We love Grandma and Grandpa very much.  The kids loved having them over to visit and did not even notice we were gone.
It was a good game.  Sadly we tied which is better then a loss.  I bought ponchos for the game and drew the Sounders logo on it because I am too cheap to buy the official Sounders ponchos.  I think they turned out awesome.  Of course it did not rain that night.  But I insisted we wear them for a little.

For my birthday gift I wanted to go paint balling.  I had never done it before and have always thought it would be fun.
 Alex getting his gear ready.
I am filling up my gun with air.  I was afraid it might blow up or something.
Ready to rumble.
I have some great friends and family that were willing to get dirty with me for my birthday!  It was a blast but having them with me made it even more fun.
All ready to go shoot some guns!
After playing!

It was an awesome week.  A fun week with the kids doing crafts and celebrating Halloween and then a GREAT birthday!  I am one lucky lady!  Thanks to all who helped make my birthday wonderful:)
