Tough Mudder

Updates on Clifton -
Had a better week and we are finally getting into the school routine.
And he enjoys doing his reading homework with Stanley every day.  Its pretty cute!

Updates on McKay -
Well she had a tough week.
She fell asleep on the way to soccer and I knew it was going to be a rough practice/game.  I am thinking we will just stick to dance.

Updates on Stanley -
He is talking so much and loves when we understand what he wants.  Still crazy as ever!

Monday for FHE we took a hike and hide Port Orchard rocks for others to find.
The kids were so excited!
While hiding rocks we found a rock!  And it happened to be made by one of our friends.  Such  fun thing to do.
We finally walked the whole trial from our house to the park, about 3 miles.  Boy oh boy Washington is such a beautiful place.
Silly boys swinging at the park!

We had a fun week...
 Dance class
 Watching our deer friends!
Playing with Clifton's new basketball hoop.
Starting to get into fall and baking some pumpkin muffins.
 Being silly.
McKay and I made some head bands and Stanley really wanted one too.
 Preschool fun.
Birthday parties.
And after a cold night of soccer hot coco on the patio.

Saturday was a big day... the Tough Mudder!!!!  I was so anxious and excited.  I didn't prepare as much as I wanted to but still ready to have a wonderful day with great friends.
Before we got dirty... it was a cold morning!
After!  We don't look that dirty but thats because they have so many water obstacles which washed off all the dirt.  We totally rocked it.  It was such a good group to race with.  All of them are beasts!  I was pretty happy with how I did.  There is one obstacle I wish I could do over.  I messed up because I thought about it, darn it.  Next time it's mine!  But I did somethings that I was very proud of.  What a wonderful day!
These girls are the best.  So lucky to be able to call them my friends.  They are just as crazy as I am!  And they are pretty dang tough girls.

A huge shout out to this guy who took care of the kids all day so I could go to Tough Mudder and then come home, clean up, and leave again to go to the Women's Broadcast and dinner at church.

Preschool Starts

Updates on Clifton -
He is doing great at school but is sure struggling at home.  He has to have the last word in everything and talks back whenever he can.  It's extremely frustrating and I sure hope its a phase, especially because I know he can be a great boy but is choosing to be frustrating.

Updates on McKay -
On the other hand McKay has been great.  Very sweet and nice!  I guess I can't have them all acting good at the same time ;)

Updates on Stanley -
He is all boy and a lot of fun.  Running, dancing, talking, singing, and entertaining us all day.  Now if we can work on being still for just a little :)
 "Cheese!"
Making faces!

Monday our friends came over to spend the day with us and what a fun filled day it was.
Walking the trails and playing at the play ground all morning.

That night we had our first house guest over for dinner.
It was so nice to have friends over and that they all fit in the house and we didn't feel crowded!

Tuesday McKay started preschool!
She couldn't have been more excited.
This year we are co-oping with a friend, Atasha!
And what a fun first day it was.  It's going to be a wonderful year!

Wednesday was the start of dance again.
I think we found her passion!  She struggles with soccer and playing hard but doesn't struggle to dance.  I am a ok with that!
Stanley, well he will be well rounded :)  That boy wants to be out dancing with the girls so bad!  Luckily the teacher lets him join in sometimes.

I also joined a gym again.  I tried without a membership but it just doesn't work out for me.  My kids don't let me push them in a stroller for long and I just don't get to sweat as hard as I would like doing it at home.  So I am trying the local gym this time.
It felt so good to be back!

That night we made some homemade pizza for dinner.
A favorite at this house.

Thursday was picture day for Clifton and he sure looked mighty handsome.
He came home and insisted I will love his picture he did the best smile ever.

After school we hit up the trails again.

Soccer is still going strong and we are still having lots of fun.
America Ninja Warrior is such a fun team.

Friday we went to our friends birthday party at the park.  And I started watching a kids friend a couple times a week.
A fun filled morning!

That night Grandma Stanley came into town.  The next morning we just had to show her our trails.  No rain was going to stop us!
We sure do love walking the trails.  Grandma made it even more fun!  Plus we saw a beaver in the pond!

Then Alex and I got to head out to the Sounders game while Grandma stayed and played with the kids.
Such a great game!  We won 1-0!  Great work Sounders.

We had a while till the next ferry came so we walked the Seattle waterfront and just talked.
It feel so nice to be with just him.  I love that guy.  Thanks mom for helping with the kids so we could escape for a little.

That night Grandma had a good idea, we should play flash light hide and seek.
I forgot I wasn't as flexible and young as I use to be and may have got stuck under the laundry room sink.

Ended the night with a bubble bath!
Silly kiddos love the jetted tub as much as I do.

Sunday we had to say goodbye to Grandma, but then we got to bake!
We love Sunday bakeday!

Other things that happened this week ... I added a sign on our reading nook wall and love it.
I lost my toe nail this week :/ and then played soccer that night.  Ya that kind of hurt.
And it is pretty gross.

School has Started

Updates on Clifton -
Clifton was very excited to start school and jumped right in.  That boy sure loves school and I am very happy about that.  Makes it easier to leave him all day.

Updates on McKay -
She is pretty jealous that Clifton gets to go to school and very excited for preschool to start next week.

Updates on Stanley -
Crazy as ever.  We just love his crazy self.

Monday was labor day and Alex had the day off.  So we labored around the house.
We got some decorations up.
Cleaning the gutters.

But of course we made some time to play.
Playing at the new Bremerton Airport park while watching helicopters and planes take off.

We ended the night with smore's!
Such a fun night!  We love our back yard.
We even had some visitors while we ate our smore's.  WHAAAAAAT!!!!!?!

Tuesday was the last day of summer and the kids requested we go swimming.
So to the Y we went.  Love this crazy gang!

That night Clifton got to meet his teacher for the year.
Mrs. Johnson.  Looks like it will be another great year.

Soccer is still going strong and we are having fun.
McKay loves practice but struggles with the game.  She complains of being too tired.  But we offered her ice cream if she scored a goal.  Literally the next thing she did was run full speed, take the ball and dribble it to score then came back said I get ice cream now and sat in the middle of the field.  Just shows she could play if she wants to.  Not sure we will sign her up next year :)  Silly girl!
Clifton is still loving every second of it and I am loving our team.

Wednesday Clifton started 1st Grade!
Off he goes!  Sure love that boy.

We were a little sad he left so we had to go play to cheer up. And the hobbit house helped cheer us up.
Fun morning with just these two.
The rest of the week was fun hanging out with these two while Clifton was at school.

Friday Alex got home from work early so I took the opportunity to go on a date with this stud muffin.
He has been begging to go to the golfing range ever since we moved here.

Saturday was more work around the house.
I really do enjoy working hard on our house and being able to use fun tools!
We also enjoyed a nice run to the park.

Saturday and Sunday we had a special stake conference with President Nelson.  It was wonderful!
After wards we came home and made a new recipe of cookies for Sunday Bakeday.
They didn't disappoint!

We also went on a Sunday walk through our trails.  Where we spotted black bear poop in our back yard!!!!!!
Not going to lie that kind of freaks me out.  Hopefully they keep their distance! And don't scare my deer friends away.
We love our neighborhood trials!  Love them!

We are enjoying our house so much and feel crazy blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
 Watching bunnies in our backyard.
My view from our bedroom deck.  Can't be mad about that ;)
