Updates on Clifton -
Got the Rising Star award at school.  Although he isn't giving us a smile he was so excited.  He is a great student and tries really hard to do his best.  We couldn't ask for more.

Updates on McKay -
Got her dance costume for her first recital and she is over the moon about it.  Counting down the days till her recital.

Updates on Stanley -
Poor guy is struggling big time with allergies.  Non stop runny nose and watery eyes.  It's that time of year.

This week I was still trying to recover from Bronchitis but had more energy and the sun was shining.
Got an exercise in for the first time in a week.  It wasn't much and my lungs didn't love it but getting moving again felt good and my little walking buddy is the cutest.

Monday night for FHE we played games with balloons.
 Ballon races.
And knocking over cup.

This week was full of errands trying to get ready for the first ever Sunnyslope Carnival.  But any chance we got to get outside and play we did that.  Lots of park time this week.
And we got out to play as a family as much as possible too.
Street hockey!
Baseball.
Just enjoying the beauty that Spring brings.

Thursday we got to have a lunch with Randi for Lil Saints stuff.
It was nice to get together with her and talk business stuff too.  Stanley is getting pretty good at being my errand partner.

Saturday was the big day!  Sunnyslope's first ever Spring Carnival Fundraiser.
So much preparation and time went into this event.  I couldn't believe that it all came together so well.  The weather was cooperating, tons of people came (way more than expected), and it was so much fun.  I cannot thank everyone who donated their time, food, donations, and more for this event.  Our community is amazing.  With everyone coming together we put together a great event and it brought in more money than expected for the PTA.  Of course there are things that could be altered or done better for next year but for the first ever it was a huge hit.
Alex is amazing and took the kids to the carnival while I ran things.  They said they had a blast!  What a great man I have.  He never complains and is always supportive with all the many things I take on.

After a full day at the school setting up, running, and taking down I am surprised I had energy to go onto the next activity especially with still trying to kick this sickness.  It must have been all the adrenaline.  Next was teaching swing dancing to the youth.
It was so great to dance the night away.  I will always have energy to dance with this guy.

Sunday was a relaxing day to recover from Saturday's full day.
A nice day at church and then just hanging out at home together.

Updates on Clifton -
Got sick Saturday night.  The cold finally got him and he had a fever as well.  Luckily his was short lived after a rest day at home Sunday.

Updates on McKay -
Somehow has managed not to get the cold that has been going around.

Updates on Stanley -
Is obsessed with band-aids.  Anytime something hurts or he gets a little scratch he will go get the band-aids and insist I put one on.  He has 5 bandaids on now.  Silly boy!
I can't remember what scratch or ouchy this was but that face!

Sunday it hit me hard that I was officially sick.  I slept most of the day after church hoping to feel better.
But it only got worse.  We spent most of the week like this.  This cold was kicking my booty.  Then Alex got it too, so we were both out.  Alex seemed to bounce back faster so I went into the doctors and found out I had bronchitis.  But all they could give me was Sudafed and an inhaler.
Thank heavens Stanley was extra cuddly this week and didn't mind just hanging out at home doing not much.  He wasn't feeling great for a couple days either which seemed to slow him down a little.
However taking a nap with him wasn't working.  He insisted he take a nap with me, but Treasure and him had other plans.  Silly kiddo!

The inhaler helped clear out some gunk and I was feeling well enough to get moving a little after a few days.
So we get out to play for a little.  Walking in the rain and made boats to race.  It was nice to have some energy back.

Friday was spirit day at school.  We got spirit yes we do!  We love Sunnyslope.
I still had no voice and coughing up a lung, but had energy and things that needed to be done at school.
Like getting pizza for Clifton's class who read the most minutes of the 2nd and 3rd grade classes.  Stanley sure doesn't mind being a PTA kid sometimes.

Saturday was the Port Orchard day of service.  I really wanted to go to this especially cause one of the projects was at the kids new school they will be going to next year.
The kids did great and had a lot of fun even though we got soaking wet and filthy.  I am so glad we had the opportunity to serve, but boy it whipped me out.  Still trying to recover, I would like it to be done now.  My belly and my bladder are not enjoying this coughing and the exhaustion.

After much needed bath and down time the kids had a primary activity.  Drive in movie fun...
They were to make cars out of cardboard boxes to park in and watch a movie.  Since I haven't been feeling well I didn't round up boxes so we decorated laundry baskets.
They had a lot of fun with friends at the activity.

Spring Break

Updates on Clifton -
Has a hard time doing activities that are for his sister to brother.  I knew he would outgrow the little kids stage and fun but didn't expect it so quickly.  Makes me sad.

Updates on McKay -
Loved spring break.  She is such a home body so she has loved the extra time at home.

Updates on Stanley -
Got a nice new do.  His hair was getting very long.

Monday began Spring Break.  We had no plans to leave town so we planned some fun staycation activities.  First Seattle and what a beautiful day for it!
Our first visit to the Troll under the bridge.

Then we rode the monorail for the first time.
It was a lot of fun.  The driver even let the kids honk the horn.  I love when people do small things that mean the world to a kid.
We then decided to play at one of the coolest and scariest playgrounds around.
Such a fun day in Seattle!
Stanley kept calling the Space Needle the Space Noodle, so cute!

Tuesday we played with friends.  First at the park.
Then we went on a hike with other friends and got to mark off a cub scout advancements.
We have some awesome friends.

That night we met Alex after work and went to see Sherlock Gnomes.
Yay for 5$ Tuesdays and family time.

Wednesday I had some errands I needed to run.  The kids were being so good letting me run around that we stopped half way through at the Gnome home.
They also had the worlds largest flower in bloom...
But we got there too late.  It had died already.  Mom fail!

That afternoon we ventured to Bainbridge Island with friends and went to the aquatic center.
A lot of fun.  And they slept well that night!

Thursday we headed to the Washington State History Museum.  Clifton went about a month ago for a school field trip and enjoyed it enough to want to go again.
Part of the Tacoma bridge that collapsed.
They had the Toytopia exhibit there too.

Friday we headed to the zoo.
And the weather actually turned out nice.

The weather was so nice that we headed out for a walk and park fun later.
And catching frogs by our ponds.  Nights like these get me excited for summer.

Saturday Clifton had district pinewood derby.
His car didn't do great but he had a lot of fun with his friends.

That night we went out to dinner with friends, then we danced and played games.
I wasn't feeling great that day but good friends always help.

Sunday McKay and I busted out another matching dresses.  I got them for Mother's day but we were too excited to wait.  I think we have an addiction.

Other fun from the week...
 Doctor Stanley checking on baby.
Fun art and crafts with McKay.  She's creative!
