Mother's Day 2018

Updates on Clifton -
We have decided each Sunday we are going to pick a Faith in God project to work on the following week.  Hopefully we keep this up cause I really like the idea of this tradition.

Updates on McKay -
McKay has started to show symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Updates on Stanley -
Loves to say "Yes sir!"  I have been trying to correct him when he says yes sir to me, but it hasn't worked.  He now says "Yes sir, Mom!"  He sure makes me laugh.

Monday for FHE Clifton planned a service project to do to complete a requirement in his Faith in God booklet.
He chose to pick up trash at his school.  He ask his principal if it was needed and where it was needed most.  We picked up two grocery bags full.  I wish my kids were this motivated to clean up toys :)
Then we played at the park!  A wonderful evening.

Tuesday and Thursday was full of soccer fun and Stanley is finally getting into it.
The first week was hard, he wanted to play at the playground or eat.  But he is finally joining in on the games and we are having fun playing soccer.  YAY!

Tuesday nights our Cub Scout nights now and we have been having fun there too.
It was my first time building exploding sticks.  It is a lot harder than it looks!  We made a few small ones.

Wednesday was McDonald takeover.
I greatly enjoy the staff at Sunnyslope.  I really think they are the best, sure makes it hard to be at a different school next year.  It was a fun night seeing friends and all the support Sunnyslope has.

Thursday I got to sneak away and have dinner with friends.  A much needed night out!
Happy late birthday Cheryl!  You are loved.

It was another beautiful week in Washington so we spent a lot of time outside playing.
Water balloon fun.
Trying to build effective catapults, and failing.
Playing at the park with friends.

Hiking with the boys while McKay was at dance.

Friday Alex headed to Youth Conference where they were camping out.
So that night we decided to stay up late, get our tents out, watch Greatest Showman, and eat ice cream.  Kind of like camping but even better.

Saturday after doing much needed chores...
we rode the trains for the first time this year and had a picnic at the park.

That night Alex made it home in time to head to the Sounders2 game.
Running into friends made it even better.
We had a great night, even though they lost.  Totally something we will be doing again!

Sunday was Mother's Day!  I sure love my little crazies.
The necklace McKay made me.
It was a nice day.  We got to go listen to our nephews farewell talk and spend time with family.  But we also made it home in time for Alex to make me dinner and relax at home.

Other fun things from this week...
Third trimester! Bring it.
