Let another week slip by without journaling.  I hope I don't forget things.  Such crazy times in the world!

Alex is still working from home and it has its ups and downs.  Hazen is a HUGE daddy's boy.  Pushes me away when I try to come get him from Dad, runs happily every time he seems him, cuddles, wants his attention all the time, and tries to break into his office all day long.
All day long!  Luckily Alex can sometimes to take breaks to put him down for a nap and eat lunch with us.

School this week went well.  Defiantly lots of good moments and lots of hard moments but overall I feel we are doing well.
 Self portraits.
 Building catapults.
 Chalking our mailbox.
Paint night.  The kids did really well following along.
 Hair color just for fun.
 Nerf Gun trick shots.
 Sorting colors.
Play doh time while they listen to a book
We finished reading Wonder and we all loved the book so much.  Talked about kindness and ways we could show more kindness.  Then ended the school week with watching the movie Wonder.

Saturday we went flowering picking.  Texas has very pretty wild flower fields.
Although the also have signs in every field that says beware of snakes, scorpions, ticks, and ants too. There were others walking int he fields that didn't seem to be fazed but the signs so we took our chance for a little to pick some.
I love how they much color they bring to my kitchen.

Sundays are becoming my favorite day!
Church at home brings such a special spirit.  This week we had fun acting out King Benjamin this week.

We made homemade strawberry shortcake, even the whip cream.  It was yummy!  Ya for strawberry season.

Other fun from the week...
Well McKay can honestly say her brother ate her homework.  Haha good thing I already turned it in.
 Runs with Clifton.
Dancing with friends!  I look forward to this day every week.

Week 4 at Home 2 Week of Online School

Hazen spends most of his day trying to get into Dad's office.
He's definitely a Daddy's boy these days.

School went a lot better this week. The kids knew what the routine was and what was expected of them.  Still need my help but I have managed to keep Stanley and Hazen occupied with fun games while the older kids might need my help.
Easter eggs and guns for the win this week.

Art we did this week...
 Cute Easter bunny paterns.
 Kinetic sand.
3D shapes to help with math assignment.
Building water filters to go with McKay's Gates assignment.
And we egged some neighbor friends.

PE...
 Pickleball
Trying out our new water slide.
 Water ballon fun.
While they play I pretend I'm on vacation and enjoy the sun.
Walking new trails.  Texas isn't so ugly in the Spring.  All the sudden it turned green, like you turned on a light switch and it's green now.  We will see how long it lasts.

Saturday we decorated Easter eggs and made an egg drop competition.
Tried a new way to dye eggs.  it turned out pretty good.
Now time to make our egg protection.
Round 1- inside.  Everyone's egg survived.
 Round 2 - outside.

McKay's egg is the only one to survive.  Although I think mine would have survived if Alex didn't throw it so high and make my parachute not work. Plus he threw it twice and the first time it hit the roof, BBQ, and ground.

Easter Sunday!
 Bunny breakfast.
All dressed up and ready for church at home.
 McKay's sweet talk.
Easter egg hunt.  Hazen wasn't into much.
Then we played egg roulette.  One of our dye eggs was not hard boiled.  I won, haha.  The person who got the raw egg won the chocolate bunny.  Fun game!  Last year we did it with sprinkles but this was much simpler to put together so I think we will stick with this.

Then Easter cookies
And a nice Easter dinner together.
It was our first Easter away from family and first one being quarantined at home.  But it was a good one! Sunday bakeday.

Other fun from the week. Lots of treadmill fun.

It was actually a pretty good week.
