Homeschool Week 2

I am not going to lie I feel a tad bit overwhelmed with everything going on.  Not being able to go anywhere, now homeschooling, Alex working from home, and social distancing.  And now have been given the shelter in place order.  Don't go out unless needed, food or essential work.  School has been canceled for another week and it doesn't look it will be back for awhile. They are working on setting up online school and should start next week.

Updates on Clifton -
He is very sweet and made me cry.  He had a Zoom meeting with his class this week and his teacher asked the kids to bring something that has helped them through the last week.  He asked if he could bring me because I have planned lots of fun activities to keep them busy.  What a sweet boy!  Made all this effort worth it.

Updates on McKay -
Has been in contact with her class a few times and she loves chatting with them.  She misses everyone very much.

Updates on Stanley -
Stanley is SO hard for me.  He doesn't listen, he sticks his tongue out, rolls his eyes, yells and hits me and everyone in the family.  He cannot keep his hands off of people.  Like he needs to it, seeking that sensory but sadly it really annoys everyone.  Being home all the time and always together has been hardest on him.  He is really struggling and I am struggling to keep my cool with him.

Updates on Hazen -
He wants to be doing that everyone else is doing so sometimes that limits our activities.  But it sure is cute!  He will sit and do art with us for a long time.  He keeps us laughing with his silliness.  And his vocabulary is growing each day.  He loves airplanes and to say uh oh.  He is also very sweet and is very concerned when someone is sad or crying.

This week we did Covid 19 spirit week.  Starting off with superhero day.
We also did PJ, sports team, crazy hair, old person day.

Art for the week...
 Painting our front window.
Shadow drawing... I look like an ogre.
 Ya for sunshine.
Body paint.  They really got into painting me!
Clay and painting them.
Made our own tv shows.  Clifton did a soccer one cause we are missing our Sounders Games.

 Lots of walks.
 Slip and slide
 While I enjoy the sun.

And we created a miniature golf course at our house.

Science fun...

Bubble fun.
Water fun playing sink or float.

The kids school did a wave parade and we loved it!
We sure miss all the wonderful teachers and staff.

Picnic on the trampoline.

Car wash!

Helping make dinners.
I don't mind having the extra hands in the kitchen.

Lots and lots of facetious, zooms, hangouts... whatever way we can to keep connected.
Including a fun baking party with friends.  Sunday bakeday!
