Back to normal schedule (or so I thought)... My week to teach preschool.  This weeks theme was weather.

Stanley started basketball.

Clifton has started YM's and pretty excited to be in the program.  I am excited to work with him when we do combined activities too.

Life was getting back to the regular grind then this happened!

I was feeling pretty darn frustrated and worried we are going back to March 2020 shut down again, but realized we could take advantage of this and take Clifton to the temple Friday since he didn't have school. It's been so hard trying to get an appointment.

And it was an amazing day!  So glad we got to do this.

Ended the week with mini cake bake off.

Stanley turned 7!  We had planned to go to Epic the indoor waterpark for his day but it was closed.  So it had to wait till Saturday.
But he seemed to have a pretty good day.  Great presents, friends, and dinner at Red Robbin.

It was been freezing temps all week, Alex brought his ladder inside and found a lizard frozen.  We warmed him up and decided to keep him till the temperature finally stays warm for him.

Introducing Bowser.
The kids had an idea to sell cookies and hot cocoa to earn money for a play they have been working on.

It was an amazing turn out!  Now to make sure they really pull it together and produce a play.

McKay decided to out together a side show of why we should get a Corgi dog.
It was pretty cute!

Saturday we went to Epic to celebrate Stanley...

I wish the water was warmer but it was a lot of fun and everyone slept well that night.

Sunday bakeday... M&M cookies.

Alex had all week off so we made sure to have lots of fun this week.

The temperature was in the 80's the last few days.  So ice cream with friends seemed fitting.
Taking advantage if half off Top Golf.

More nice weather so we played water balloon baseball with the neighbors.

Then we took advantage of a Groupon for a trampoline park.

Finally wore Stanley out for a little!

We thought we would try out the Fort Worth Train Excursion... Everyone had the same idea as we did.  It was really busy and the train was late.  But it was a pretty cool experience.  Not the prettiest train ride I have been on.

A nice afternoon out and about.

New Years Eve I tried something different.  I planned an activity every hours starting at 11.  The older two stayed up till the new year and the younger ones stayed up till 9.
Minute to win it games
Face painting

Popcorn catching
Spillow fight - idea from my Christmas present, adventure book family edition
Making air fried donuts.
Glow in the dark party.  We also had a slide show of pictures from the year, a cahoot game about 2021 memories, and making our goals for next year.

Ballon drop, games, and watching the ball drop.  It was a great New Years Eve. I'm exhausted form all the entertaining though, I slept well.

Started the year right with a nice run.

The a trip to Cabela's and fishing.

Oh and of course a nap!

Then the temperature dropped significantly, time to turn on the fire place!  Captain Cuddles approved
Sunday was a big day for our family!  Hazen is officially a Sunbeam, seriously not sure how that happened.
And Clifton was ordained a Deacon!

Time sure flies!
