Fall Photo Shoot

Updates on Clifton -
Clifton is still pretty afraid of things around him.  The last few days he has been saying there are monsters under his bed or in his closet.  I thought I had a little while before this stage but I guess not.  We have tried very hard to not watch anything that could be scary around him but yet he has still become afraid of things.  The funny thing is the scariest thing to him is beeping.  After the fire alarm went off that one 5am morning he is scared of it.  The other day there was beeping outside our house in the morning and Clifton shot up and started screaming.  What a weird thing to be scared of.

Updates on McKay -
Her first ponytail!
Alex does not like it but I think it is super cute and more girly then her usual crazy hair.
And this one because it is just too funny not to post!
Not walking yet but still moving around like crazy.  She is also become more vocal and coping sounds we make.  Her knew thing is to say uh-oh.  It's cute!

This week we had fun doing fall activities.  First we painted the kids feet like candy corn.
Clifton loved it.  He giggled the whole time telling me it tickled.  Which I am sure it did.  I think they both turned out very cute.

Then we did some pumpkin painting.
He loves painting so very fun for him.

Then I took all the kiddos to a corn maze.
She is cute.  Love those eyes!
Getting ready to adventure into the maze!
The boys really liked it.  They had a cute activity the kids could do too.  They gave the boys a piece of paper with pictures on it.  They had to find those pictures throughout the maze and punch a hole in the ones they found.  I was surprised at how well Clifton understood what to do.  Smart boy!
They had tons of tractors at the farm.  Which of course the boys LOVED!
 McKay liked it too.
 I'm driving here!
It was a fun afternoon.

It was a beautiful fall afternoon.  So I tried to take some fall photos of the kids.
This is the best one.  It's pretty good.  I am no photographer but I sure love capturing life on camera.
This one just makes me laugh.  McKay makes the silliest faces.
 He is pretty dang cute!
Fall photo shoot 2012.

This week we also grabbed some toilet paper and wrapped everyone up like mummies
Alex is always a good sport and always gives us a good laugh.
Clifton thought it was pretty fun.  As you can tell McKay enjoyed trying to eat the toilet paper:)
The best part for the boys was ripping the toilet paper off and then cleaning it up with dump trucks.

Random photos from this week.
This is why the laundry doesn't get done:)
McKay playing at the park.  She loved spinning around.

Pumpkin Patch

Updates on Clifton -
Clifton has almost got all his (capital) letters down.  He gets some of them mixed up but for the most part he knows his letters.  He is getting good at saying his ABC's as well.  We are working on number recognition as well, which he often gets some confused with letter (like 8 for B or 9 for P).  He is a smart boy and loves to learn.

Updates on McKay -
She gets up and stands without assistance.  She does not walk but will stand there for a while until she is ready to go somewhere and then she goes to crawling.
She will be walking in no time.

This week we got our diapers in the mail.  So we had a big box to play with.
Clifton helped me decorate their box.
They both played in it all morning:)

My friend had an extra ticket to Wicked.  Thanks to my wonderful mother in law who watched my kiddos, I was able to go with her.  I am so blessed to have family to help out.  My mother and father in law and husband went out of thier way so I could have a day with my friend.
It was my first time at a musical and in the Paramount Theaters.  It was a wonderful experience.  The Paramount is beautiful and I could have spent all day just looking around.  The play was awesome!  And the company was great.  Thanks Jessica for taking me;)

Friday we went to a pumpkin patch.  We had to find one with a tractor, because Clifton LOVES tractors.
Watching his face and seeing him get excited about the tractor ride was worth the longer drive to the pumpkin patch.
Clifton loved looking at all the different pumpkins and helped pick out one for him and one for McKay.
We also love looking at the animals.
We had a fun time!

Saturday night we got together with some friends and played laser tag.
It was a blast!!!!!  It is always fun playing like a kid:)

Extreme K Mud Run

Updates on Clifton -
Clifton is pretty much praying all by himself.  We help him start off and he will say thank you for for whatever he is thankful for that day (which is usually a long list of thank you's).  It is really cute to listen to him pray.  The simple things he is thankful for.  The other night he was thankful for chicken nuggets, french fries, chocolate milk, Lighting McQueen, Mater, Mom, Dad, and McKay.

Updates on McKay -
She had her nine month doctors appointment this week.  She is as healthy as a horse and growing like a weed.  She is in the 93rd percentile in height.  She is our tall girl.  Her weight is in the 47th percentile and she is just doing real well.
She is getting close to walking.  She likes walking around with her walking or holding onto my hands.  She would hold onto my hands and walk around all day if I let her.
Silly girl!

This week the boys and I enjoyed doing some Halloween arts and crafts.
We did some cookie cutter painting.
Going to pick up rocks to paint.
 Look I got one mom!
 They sure love to paint.
Final product.  They love the pumpkin rocks and every time we go in or out they have to talk about and look at them.

Saturday Kitsap had their first mud run.  The had an Extreme K Mud Run in Silverdale.  Alex work sponsored a team so we ran with some of his co workers.
This was so cold!!!!!  We had to army crawl in the muddy water under barb wire for a ways.  A couple people in front of us someone got stuck so we were sitting in there for a little.  It was SO cold!
I love Alex!  We still have a ton of fun together:)  And he still makes me laugh!
Finished! It was different then the other mud run we did.  This run was not nearly as muddy (probably due to the lack of rain in Washington) but still fun.

This weekend was also General Conference.  We went down to Alex's parents house to watch conference with some of his family.
Clifton loves going to Grandma's house and playing with his cousins.  Which makes me happy because I never really knew my cousins and never hung out or were friends with them.
No better way to spend conference then being surrounded by loved ones and snuggles my sleepy baby!

Fall is Here!!!

Updates on Clifton -
He has been working really hard on his letters and starting to get some down.  He often mixes sounds and letter up because they are similar in sound and appearance, but he is getting there.  I put together an alphabet book for Clifton full of things he likes or knows.  I gave him choices for each letter and he choose what he wanted for each letter.  It was fun to put together with him and I can't wait to get it in the mail and be able to look through it with him.
Well the potty training is getting put on hold.  Nothing is motivating him.  He refuses to even sit on the toilet anymore.  He has no desire whatsoever!

Updates on McKay -
Her personality is shining through more and more.  She definitely has a strong one.  If she does not want you to do something or be touched she will let you know.  I am afraid she is a little bit of a drama queen:/  But we still love her tremendously.
This picture shows McKay's personality.  Clifton being a good brother and hugging her and she is screaming because he is touching her.  Silly girl!
Oh man though she is super cute!

This week we had the first day of Fall.  So we got out and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather we are having.
The boys and I went on a walk and collected leaves and then went home and made a leaf collage.  They really really liked this one.

Then later this week we took another walk and collected more leaves and then tossed them around at the park.  They loved this one too!  Oh fall, how we love you!

I also put together a little matching board for the boys to play with so they could work on their letters.  They liked this a whole lot more then I expected.  Clifton asks to get it out everyday.
They both did really good at matching and naming the letters.  Learning is fun!

This weekend I heard there was a fall festival in Poulsbo.  So we decided to go see what it was about.  Well it turned into an adventure.  The festival consisted of one tent that only did face painting:/  So we decided to explore Poulsbo a little.  It is a cute town.

We went to a local bakery and tried some goods.  For some reason out of everything he could have chosen, Clifton wanted a frowny face cookie.  Silly kid!
We went for a walk by the bay down to a little park.  McKay rode on the motorcycle toy.

Another wonderful week at the Peterson's!
