Mother's Day 2016

Updates on Clifton -
His new thing is to say "Oh my gosh!" to everything.  And I mean everything.

Updates on McKay -
Wants to listen to the Lion Guard soundtrack all day every day and knows every word of every song. It's pretty cute to watch her belt it out.

Updates on Stanley -
He is hitting, I don't think to be mean.  We are trying to teach him it is not okay.

Monday was a beautiful and hot day.  We decided to go play at Scenic Beach with the Neilson's.
Stanley is so different then my other kiddos and has no hesitation about jumping into water.
Later that day we played in the water at home.
I just love days like these.

Tuesday morning we had a play date with the Dyal's.  Stanley kept laying on the floor with Baby Camilla and playing with her.
It made me laugh that Stanley is so tiny and the same size as her.  Cuties!

That night was soccer practice.
I love their relationship.  Stanley ran onto the field and hugged his brother.  They stopped practice so they could steal a hug.  LOVE them.
When he wasn't running onto the field he was playing with wishes.  It started so cute, trying to blow them away.  Then ended so gross!  This kid sure makes me laugh.
After practice we meet up with the Neilson's to get ice cream and celebrate Baylee's birthday.
I loved getting them back together again.

Wednesday we meet with the Neilson's and played with the girls so Kathryn could try and get some packing done.
I had so much fun with these kiddos playing at the mall.  They are just so fun.  We sure are going to miss them.
Then on our way out we were feeling spontaneous and decided to give the animal rides at try.
A super fun morning playing.

My boys!
I hope their friendship and bind never changes.

May the 4th be with you!

Cinco de Mayo

Friday Clifton's school had muffins for moms.
Silly boy!
Then we went on a hike in Belfair with the Bouck's.
It was a beautiful hike and I will be back.
Then back to Clifton's school to release the butterflies we bought as caterpillars and watched transform.
They kids thought it was so cool, as did I.

Saturday morning we all got to go cheer Clifton on at his game.
Daddy and Clifton discussing game plan :)

Then Alex and I got to go on a date to see Captain America.
It was a great movie!

Sunday was Mother's day and I was very spoiled by my babies and hubby.
Flowers, got to sleep in, my favorite breakfast made, a fit bit, lots and lots of hugs and kisses, a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's house, and a yummy dinner and dessert.  A great day!  Being a Mother is no question the hardest thing but its so worth every minute.  I am very blessed to have these cute kiddos.

Soccer Time!

Updates on Clifton -
He started soccer for spring session.  He is loving it.  And it is much needed activity to get his energy out.

Updates on McKay -
She is being the usual sassy and silly McKay.

Updates on Stanley -
He sure makes us laugh.  He has an "ahhhh face" he gives us often.
Seriously he couldn't be cuter!
He had a rough weekend with another asthma flair up.  Poor guy sure struggles with his asthma and usually in the middle of the night :(

For FHE we went to our friends house, the Johnson's.  We had a great night visiting.
They put together a cute lesson on the iron rod.  Then we got to know their chickens.
 She loves animals!
And even got to take some fresh eggs home.  My kids couldn't believe that eggs have chickens in them, haha.  If we ever get some property I would love to have some chickens.  It would be great for my kids.

Tuesday was Clifton's first soccer practice of the season.
He was a little nervous at first cause he didn't know anyone on his team but after warming up for a couple minutes he was good.
Stanley practice his soccer on the sidelines, yep he is a little clumsy just like his mom.

Wednesday was our 9 year anniversary.  We already celebrated by going to Vegas, but we had a gift card to a restaurant and decided to go out just the two of us that night!
It was wonderful!  I sure love this man and have had the best 9 years ever and can't wait to make more memories.
That day we also found out Alex got the manager job he applied for at work!  So we got to celebrate with things at once.  So proud of him and all the hard work he does for us.

Thursday dance class...
Stanley trying to join in again.

Friday we enjoyed hiking.
Love my adventurers.

Saturday was Clifton's first soccer game.
 Cutest cheerleaders.
He had fun and played so well.  Proud of that kiddo!
He played goalie and couldn't have been happier.  He loved it and was consistently jumping up and down with joy.  And he did well in the goal too, blocking a few shoots.
A beautiful and fun morning!
On our way to get ice cream after the game we noticed the Y was having a big event so while we waited for the ice cream place to open we played there.
Then ice cream to celebrate the good game.

That night we got to go out again with our friends that are moving away, the Bennion's.  It was a great night out with them one last time.  They will be missed!

VEGAS!

Updates on Clifton -
Was so excited to ride the bus this week for the first time and loved it.

Updates on McKay -
We are struggling with her and hitting (mainly her brothers).

Updates on Stanley -
He has some new words... grandma, grandpa, and kitty.

Monday was the start of our Vegas trip.  It was different than planned.  I was supposed to fly down Wednesday and join Alex, but something came up at work for Alex and his trip got cut short and needed to be back by Thursday morning.  So Alex spoiled me like he always does, changed my flight so we didn't have to cancel our plans and his mother was able to come watch our kids earlier.  Although it cost us a pretty penny, so we had to changed plans in Vegas.  We didn't get to go see a show because of the cost of the flight change.  We didn't get to sit nest to each other on the plane.  Also Alex coworker was there and his wife planned to join him Wednesday like my plan so we could do things together.  Although plans changed it was a GREAT and much needed trip!

Monday I went to work with Alex, walking the NAB. It was fun watching Alex geek out!

He feel in love and is creepily stroking the camera.
NAB was a little above my head with all the fancy technologies but I had fun messing around.

After work we walked the strip with Alex's coworker who has never been to Vegas, showing him the sights.
Clifton insisted that if we went to Vegas without him and we see the minions, like last time we were in Vegas with him, I must take a picture.  Silly kid!
New York rollercoaster.  It has been a LONG time since I have been on a roller coaster.

Tuesday Alex went to the convention with out me and I stayed in and slept.  Then got a great work out in.
I loved hitting the pool and soaking up needed sun.  Great great great morning resting and doing well not much!

That night after Alex was done at work we drove to Red Rock Canyon.
My golly it was so stunning.
I could have spent all day, shoot weeks exploring.

Then we went back to the strip.
Rode the Gondola at the Venetian, something I have always wanted to do but with toddlers would not work.
Got dessert at Carlos Bakery, yum!

Wednesday, our last day, I went to the NAB with Alex.  Then we got to have dinner with his coworker and his coworkers wife who just got in.
On our way out we hit up the famous Las Vegas sign for pictures.  A wonderful trip!

As much fun as it was to be away it sure is nice to be missed and to be home with my babies.
Grandma Peterson sure did an amazing job taking care of the kiddos.  We were sad to have to take her home.  I cannot thank her enough for helping and loving my kids.  Stanley and her sure made a strong attachment while I was gone.  She is the best!

Saturday was a full day.  Starting out with the Port Orchard's day of service.  Just the kids and I, while Alex was at a YM's campout.
Clifton did great!  McKay put in a little work (she mostly pretended to work for the camera).  There was wonderful youth there that helped play with Stanley so I could to serve.

Next I got to help throw my friend a baby shower and enjoyed chatting with friends.

That night I had a date with my cute little men.  A mother/son dance, hoedown!
I love my cute cute boys.
Clifton had fun with his friends too.
I am so glad they dances with my I pray they never get too old to not dance with me!

These boys dancing.  They wouldn't let me join in but thats ok I got to enjoy their cuteness.  Brothers are the best!!!!
McKay and Daddy went on a date that night too.  McKay said for her date she needed to go shopping and find a rockstar shirt and then get ice cream.  So thats what they did.  And by rock star McKay means kitty because she came home with a kitty shirt.  She is silly!

Cute pictures from the week...
Boys running to each other when Clifton got home from school.  Seriously could they be any cuter?
McKay reading Stanley a book.  Sometimes she can be the sweetest little girl.
