Grandma Stanley's in Town

Updates on Clifton -
He thinks his Dad is the coolest thing ever.  I over heard him telling friends, a few times, his Dad was the coolest because he teaches his soccer team (which I teach and told Alex to help) and he is 30!  Mom's get none of the credit:/

Updates on McKay -
We are still battling the nap or no nap stage.  This week she napped twice.  I just put her down and give her about half an hour to fall asleep if she doesn't then she gets no nap that day.  Seems to work for now.

Updates on Baby #3 -
21 weeks and busted out the maternity pants.  But they were falling off of me:/  So not yet there which I don't mind, but jeans are not the most comfy so yoga pants here we come!

Monday we spent the afternoon with friends in Seabeck.
We love playing with our friends.

For FHE we went to splash pads in Tacoma.
Note to self... wear a swimsuit next time.  I didn't think they would need us to play with them but they did.
Playing in the water was fun but the hit of the night was feeding ducks.  McKay gets my excitement for feeding ducks.  Every time a duck ate food she threw she would jump up and down and squeal with excitement. Loved every minute of it!

Thursday Grandma came to town and was able to come to Clifton's soccer practice.  We were so happy to see Grandma.  Friday we went to the Kitsap Fair.
We had so much fun riding the rides and seeing the animals.  McKay was big enough to ride the rides which saved me a lot of tears.  A great night together!

Saturday was Clifton's soccer kickoff.  They had a parade for all the teams and then each team played two games.  Grandma was able to come cheer Clifton on!
My favorite picture!  The parents made a tunnel for all the kids to run through and give high fives.  Clifton felt so special.  It was such a cute idea and great way to kick off the season.
I have a cute team and have really enjoyed playing with them.  We were down two players so the kids did a lot of playing.  They were super tired afterwards but had a blast.  Clifton of course kept score of his goals and he scored 6!

Alex captured one of his goals!  He loves soccer so much!

They did so great and deserved a treat so Blueberries frozen yogurt was after soccer!  He got to pick as many number of different treats as he scored goals to put on top of his frozen yogurt.  Happy kids!

Later Alex went to help a friend move so the kids, my mom, and I went to ride the little trains.
We had fun, but sadly McKay got stung twice while on the train:/  I guess we now know she isn't allergic.  Poor girl!  She was a trooper though and didn't cry very much.

That night we had a picnic at Lion's Park.
A nice and beautiful evening out together.  We were so happy to have grandma come visit.  She is very loved at this house.  We did a lot of playing while she was here.  My mom knows how to wear us out:)

The Olympic Game Farm

Updates on Clifton -
He has so many questions.  Questions that seem to come out of no where.  Some very deep questions for a four year old like does everyone have money, does everyone have friends.  Some that are great that he is asking but often freaks me out.  We have been talking about heaven a lot.  And he ask questions like will I go to heaven when I am five, is dad going to heaven soon, etc...  I know he is confused but I don't love talking about possibilities of him or anyone else leaving us.

Updates on McKay -
The last couple weeks she has been not napping or if she does nap not going to bed till almost 11.  So I decided to just stop naps.  It seemed to go well not too grumpy but she slowly got very exhausted.
One evening she came and sat on my lap and then fell asleep.  That has never ever happened!  So this week we will try naps and if she doesn't nap then thats fine, but I think she still needs it every once in a while at least.

Updates on Baby #3 -
20 weeks, half way there!
We got to see baby this week.
Although we don't find out if we are having a boy or a girl, McKay thought baby looked like a kitty.  So she thinks we are having a kitten:)  Silly girl.

Monday we played with friends at Penrose State Park.
The tide was way out which meant a ton of wildlife.  They had people out looking for wildlife and bringing them back so kids could watch and touch them.  This was a big hit with my kids, especially Clifton.

That night was the beginning of Clifton's soccer season!  And I get to coach again this year.

And we had so much fun!  We have a great group of kids on the team and the season is going to be great.

Tuesday we got to celebrate with friends at Emmalee's birthday party.
A fun party.

Saturday we adventured to Sequim and visited the Olympic Game Farm.
Alex was a little nervous about the animals:)

This was our first time and it was a BLAST!!!  Totally worth the drive.  The bears were mine and Alex's favorite part.  Clifton and McKay liked the yaks because they came right to the window to eat out of their hands.  Super fun family day.

Alex Turns 30!

Updates on Clifton -
He is biking and so well.  This used to frustrate him so much, but his attitude has changed drastically.  He even had a crash and I thought he would give up and want nothing to do with his bike, but he didn't he got up and on it again.  I am glad he is getting over a lot of his fears.  Its such a wonderful thing to watch.

Updates on McKay -
She had her first hair cut.  Just a trim.  However I don't love her hair and next time we get it cut I think we will do short.  But she did great getting her hair cut.

Updates on Baby #3 -
19 weeks!  I busted out the belly bands and a few pregnancy shirts, I guess its getting about that time.

Monday we spent the hot day out in Seabeck with friends.
Such a beautiful view and the water is so calm and clear.

For FHE we talked about our bodies and taking care of them.  We set a new goal as a family to have a family run night each week.
This was Alex first time running on his ankle after fracturing it.  He said it was uncomfortable but felt good to get back to it.  A fun night and tradition I am excited to keep up.

Tuesday we went mini golfing.
The boys and Baylee are getting so good.  They can get the ball in the hole in a few strokes.  Baylee even had a hole in one.  They sure love it.

Wednesday Alex turned 30!
We decorated and took him out to dinner to celebrate.

Friday night we spent the evening with friends in our ward. Saying goodbye to some of our friends that will be leaving for a little.
The kids had a water balloon fight.  This was my kids first water balloon fight and if you could tell from McKay's face you can see she was very happy about this.  A great night!

Saturday morning the kids and I went to a sports store and participated in their free events.  They had fishing.  This was a huge deal to my kids.  We have never taken them so they were so thrilled to do this even if it was out of a tank filled full of fish:)
And we got to spend time with our best friends:)  Clifton sure is loved!

That night we had a birthday party to celebrate Alex turning 30.  Alex (and I) love to play soccer so what better to do then play with friends.  We have so many wonderful friends that came to celebrate with us.
We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.
 We had the best cheerleaders!
And the kids had a blast playing with each other.  A huge thank you to our babysitters helping with the kids.  I should have taken pictures of my kids afterwards.  They were filthy, but so very happy.

Sunday we attended the blessing of baby Julia.
Such a wonderful celebration and great time with family.  So glad we were able to be apart of it.
