January Christmas

Updates on Clifton -
Lost his other front tooth!  I couldn't be happier, now he doesn't look so hilly billy.  But since he doesn't smile for me these days this is what I get instead.  Silly boy!

Updates on McKay -
Is getting really good at reading and enjoys reading stories to me.  It's a nice change to be read to.

Updates on Stanley -
Is at a very hard phase for me.  He must be testing me or something but hopefully we can get through this phase without me losing my mind.  His cuteness helps!

Monday there was no school so we went out to play at the Pacific Science Museum.  A beautiful day to ride the ferry to Seattle.
I love Washington and January has been very nice to us this year.
Always a fun time at the science museum.  I hate how exhausted I am these days but so happy I spent my energy on taking them out for fun.

Alex had to work that day but the kids wanted me to ask Dad if he could make this K'Nex ferris wheel.
I laughed at them and said no he can't.  I sent a picture joking that the kids expect him to make this for them.
Little did I know he would spend his night making a much smaller version for them.  They were over the moon when they woke up the next day and saw it.  Yep he's a good father!

This week was full of PTA stuff, basketball, and volleyball.  But I got to squeeze in time to help in McKay's class.
With spending so much time doing PTA stuff I don't get to help out in class as much as I would like but happy to help out when I can.

Thursday was one of my favorite lady, Misty's birthday.  So we went out to lunch with another favorite of mine, Trissa.
It was such a nice afternoon chatting and eating way too much delicious food.

Friday was pajama day at school.  A very anticipated day.
We took the kids out of school early and headed to Portland for a late Christmas get together.
We met my brother's family at a fun hotel and played.
The pool was way too cold for me so the hot tub was were it was at.
These two were way too excited to sleep on a hide-a-bed.
And this guy felt extra special to be able to sleep with mom and dad.  Now if only he didn't kick me all night long.  That boy never stops moving, even in his sleep.

The next day we got together for a lunch, presents, and games with the Stanley klan.  Then on our way home we got to visit Grandpa Shill.
Although we woke him from his nap he seemed happy to see us.

Updates on Clifton -
Is getting real good at basketball.  He gets where he should be and getting better at shots and passing. Super proud of him.

Updates on McKay -
Got a hair cut and we love it.  No more crying when I comb it and it matches her sassy personality.

Updates on Stanley -
This boy gets out of lot of trouble with his silly charm!

This week was full of the normal stuff, school, PTA, basketball, and playing together as a family.
We enjoy playing dice and now play it almost every night.  McKay was over the moon when she won her first game of Farkle.

Stanley was being so quite downstairs while I was working on the bathroom...
I should have known it was too good to be true!  I asked him why he did it and he said "It made me happy."  Oh that boy!

However I got stuff done that day so I wasn't too mad.
Finally all the wall paper is down in our house!  I had to sand the remaining wallpaper that was being stubborn.

Wednesday Clifton started late start dance at school so after he left for that we got up and danced the morning away too.
I had a couple extra kids but we all had a blast dancing.

Thursday nights have been taken over by volleyball.
I sure love the youth and the fun they have playing together and just enjoying time together.

Friday was another full but fun day at Sunnyslope.  Got popcorn ready, helped in Clifton's classroom with an art project, and movie night.
Glad to have tons of support form the school community!

Saturday was a relaxing day.  We went to our friends baptism and then enjoyed the day playing together.
Nerf gun wars are always fun, well until Alex shot me in the eye ;)
Then we ended the day with frozen yogurt.  We told Stanley is we can go teh whole week without an accident we could get ice cream Saturday.  So proud of this big boy and he was quite pleased with himself and the treat he earned too.

McKay noticed tis week that I was showing and like to point it out all the time.
At least now it looks like baby bump and not as much getting fat bump!

Stanley Turns 3

Updates on Clifton -
Is very helpful with Stanleys potty training.  He will even take him potty for me when he can tell he needs to go.  Stanley loves to tell Clifton every time he goes potty.

Updates on McKay -
Thinks she is in first grade now.  She has insisted many times that its a new year and we had a break from school so she must be in first grade :)

Updates on Stanley -
Big three year old!  Potty training is going well. We had some accidents but overall its good.  Even no diapers at night.  Ya to no diapers, well at least for a little.

New Years Day we slept in a little and then got out to enjoy the beautiful day.
A nice and cold two mile hike with friends.

Then that night we went to the movies together as a family.
Ferdinand was pretty cute.

Tuesday we decided we wanted to head to the zoo.  Well even though I looked up the hours on google it lied and the zoo is closed on Tuesday's for the winter.  I think I do this every winter.
So we decided to visit Owen's Beach and it didn't disappoint.  It was another beautiful day with beautiful views.  And we say seals, starfish, and a sea cucumber.

Wednesday Stan the Man turned three!
And just like that he looks all grown up.
He has been so excited about his birthday and going swimming.  He has been telling everyone about it, even strangers.  So we had a blast swimming!  Then we had fun with friends running around the gym and eating his football cake.  And ended the day eating his favorite dinner on his birthday chair and playing with his new toys.  It was a great day!

Thursday we were back to the grind.  School started again, Clifton had a basketball game, and I started the YW volleyball tournament games.

Friday night Alex had a meeting so the kids and I got creative to keep busy...
Poor Treasure ;)  She did cooperate as had hoped but it was still fun.

Saturday was a laid back kind of day.  The kids got to meet their new primary teachers for the 2018 year.  Then we headed home to spend time together.
Clifton and I decided we wanted to get out of the house for a little and went for a hike on our neighborhood trails.  It was so much fun.  Clifton os a trooper and we walked for 4.5 miles with no stops.  We even spotted a beaver!

Sunday bakeday McKay and I made some homemade whole wheat bread and rolls.
Yum!  My Grandma would have been proud.  I think we will make our own bread weekly form here on out.
