Valentine's 2016

Updates on Clifton -
He had two girls planning on kissing him on Valentine's day.  Boy oh boy!  It's a good thing he still runs away from girls trying to kiss him.

Updates on McKay -
Another good week for her.  She went to her sports and dance class and had no melt downs.  Oh this makes me so happy.  I sure hope she is growing out of these multiply day melt downs.  She has also started to be shy, which has never been McKay.

Updates on Stanley -
He has three teeth coming in on the top (finally).  He also got thrush (due to his inhaler medicine - I must not have rinsed his mouth well enough after giving him his inhaler).  Luckily we noticed quickly and had medicine so only a couple days of discomfort for him.
He is getting into every thing and climbing on everything, being a toddler and a boy.
Keeping me on my toes!

Monday was a beautiful day.  We had so much fun just being outside.
We even had to bust out our sunglasses.
Clifton racing his friend that lives across the street and is in his class.  Ya the pink Barbie car lost every time.

That night for FHE we heart attacked each other and some friends too.
I love holidays!

Tuesday was another beautiful day in Washington.
We spent the morning playing in the park with friends.
Bubbles!

Tuesday night Clifton's school had a Bluberries takeover.
So we went to get frozen yogurt together as a family and helped support the school.

Wednesday McKay had a preschool Valentines party.
We love our friends and how they are always ready to party.

That night I got to spend time with my friends and plan our lip sync performance.
I love my friends!

Friday I got to help at Clifton's school Valentine's party.
I love volunteering at his school.

That night our ward had a Valentine's Family Dance.
A crazy fun night.  Clifton had his fist dance with a girl besides mom, Alex and I got to two step, and I got to dance the night away with family/friends.

I also competed in a lip sync battle that night and won!  Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting!
I cannot say it enough... I love my friends!  Such a fun night.

Here is the award winning lip sync...

Saturday I got to go to lunch with some friends and celebrate a friends birthday.  Then Alex and I got to escape to the temple.
It was a much needed and wonderful trip to the temple.

Sunday was Valentine's day.
Heart shaped pancakes... which is a big deal.  Breakfast rarely gets made in this house.
 Candle light dinner.
And tons of kisses... Love is in the air!

Zoo Trip

Updates on Clifton -
He is crazy excited about his birthday and the count down has begun (truth is I am crazy excited too)!

Updates on McKay -
She has had a great week.  Went to her sports class and didn't have to get escorted out for crying and screaming and she started dance class and did great!  Maybe just maybe we are turning a corner with her!

Updates on Stanley -
Adding more words to his vocabulary and I love it.  He has started to say up and bye.  He also waves hi and bye.  I sure love this stage.
He is crazy crazy mobile and a dare devil, that must just be what I create and I am ok with that.

Monday for FHE we talked about the pre mortal life.  The kids got their spirits (the white trash bags) and then had to decide between Jesus's (played by Alex) plan or Satan's (played by me).  They choose Jesus and we gave them bodies (coats).

We had so much fun this week.  Tuesday we went to play with friends at Discovery Village.
Making me pizza.
McKay being a good sister.

We got sunshine!!!
Oh I am so ready for warmer and drier weather!  I think the kids would agree.

Play dates!

Cuddling and reading.
Sometimes he sits still, sometimes!  And it sure is cute when he does.

Thursday was McKay's dance class and four of the five girls in her class are already her friends.
Seriously could they be any cuter?
Keeping Stanley off the dance floor was by far the hard part.  He just wanted to be out there with them.

Friday morning Clifton's school had Donuts for Dads.  Alex took the morning off to go.  It meant the world to Clifton.
After, Alex surprised us with coming home and took the whole day off.
We went soccer shopping.  Sadly a cute little soccer store is going out of business and everything was 30% off so we got some great deals.

Saturday we went to the zoo and left with a membership for the year!
She is our animal lover!  "Come here goat, let me kiss you!"
 Sharks!
A super fun family day!

I love our Sunday Bake day tradition...
Now to not eat all the cookies!

Updates on Clifton -
He got a hair cut this week and thinks he is mighty handsome.  We often find Clifton checking himself out in the mirror and its pretty cute.
This boy, he sure makes me smile!

Updates on McKay -
We have been using her new toy - cookie dough scoop all week and she loves it.
She also told me I needed help looking pretty so she did me up.  Thanks McKay!  I look FABULOUS.

Updates on Stanley -
Adding more words to his vocabulary - hi and no.
Oh how I just love watching his personality shine more and more each day.  He is a delight!

Monday I got to help out at Clifton's school.  I love that his teacher trust me enough to teach the kids in small groups.  It sure reminds me how much I love teaching.
I love being able to volunteer.

That night we had friends come over for FHE.
We made cookies and then discussed Nephi and how he was asked to build a boat.  I gave them a piece of paper and told them to build a boat, they couldn't until I gave them step by step instructions.  The Lord may ask us to do hard things but he will always be there to guide and direct us.

We had fun playing together this week.
We had a couple days of sunshine so outside we went!
Discovery Village.
Morning cartoon cuddles.  Sometimes I get jealous of the snuggles Clifton gets with Stanley but then I love how cute they are.  Brothers are wonderful!

Friday was hat day at school.
He was so excited to wear his Sounders hat!
That day was sharing time at Clifton's class and he has been begging to share his little brother and "probably his sister too".
I love that he wanted to show them off!

That night Alex and I got to go out on a date.  It was a last minute idea so we just went to dinner, but it was nice to be able to talk and not be interrupted.
Thanks Alex for making this picture awkward.

Saturday we went bowling as a family.
Such a fun morning!

I love my calling and don't talk about it enough.  It is a huge part of my life.  This week I decided to do a superhero sharing time for the kids.  Because I wanted them to have Scripture Power.
It was a fun day in primary.  I sure love these kids and feel so blessed to be able to be apart of their lives.

As I was getting ready for primary that day I had to get out our costume box.
We had fun dressing up.  McKay and Clifton decided they needed to bring the Dark Side into our family.
