Cousin Emma

Updates on Clifton -
Has a sock issue.  He feels he needs to take his socks off every time he takes his shoes off.  Then he throws them someone they are not supposed to be and when he gets shoes on again he gets new ones out.  Leaving socks all over my house!  It drives me bonkers.  It's a good thing he is super cute!

Updates on McKay -
Is begging for me to sign her up for dance again.  I think after soccer we will give it a go.  This time not ballet, maybe hip hop or jazz.  Something a little more spunky like her.

Updates on Stanley -
Has so many scratches and bruises its crazy.  This boy just never slows down.

Sunday night the kids and I meet up with my brother and his family in Chehalis for a picnic.  Then we got to bring cousin Emma home with us.  We are so excited to have her and show her around our cute town.  Monday we headed out to Scenic Beach to play.
Fun morning catching crabs, finding cool shells, and enjoying the beauty.

That day was Pioneer Day so that night we talked about some of our ancestors that were pioneers and played pioneer games.
Then we made cookie s'mores.
Such a fun night.

Tuesday we went to the splash pad in tacoma with friends.
 Cute friends!
Love these cuties!

That afternoon Emma stayed at home with the little ones while I took Clifton out.  I promised him a lunch date for his good report card a while ago and am finally getting to it.
He is a pretty good date!  I love this handsome man.

That night I took the kids to their first ever Drive in movie.
We only stayed for one movie.  Minions was cute!  I was super nervous that I would pay for it the next day but the kids surprisingly slept in.  A great first Drive in experience, maybe we will have to do it more?

Wednesday after sleeping in we headed to Point No Point.
And it was the perfect day for it.  No windy and beautiful!

After nap time we headed out to have a picnic at the park and take advantage of the free kayak rentals going on that week in Port Orchard.
McKay didn't love it but everyone else had a blast.
We did have to head out a little earlier than expected because McKay had a bad head ache.  She fell asleep on the way home.  I think we have been having a little too much fun in the sun.  She was pooped.

I felt bad that I was pushing my kids too hard so we changed plans Thursday.  We wanted to go to Seattle but decided to have an easy morning.  A group of friends were getting together to walk Clear Creek and we decided to join in.
Then we got frozen yogurt after to reward them for all the hard work :)

That night we went to Concert on the Bay.
I just love how McKay has no fear or care if people are judging her and she'll get up and dance.  I hope she stays like this forever.

And we stopped by to visit the pirate boat in PO.
We got to watch it sail off too.

That night Alex came home!  We were so excited to have him home for the weekend and to go to Wild Waves.  The kids earned enough money at their bake sale to go and we have been counting down the days.
 Swing ride with McKay.
Clifton is tall enough to ride most of the rides and had no fears especially with Emma.
\
Ring of Fire with Clifton.
We were unsure how long Stanley would last but we ended up playing for three hours just on the rides.  They actually have a good amount of rides he can go on.

Now to swim...
Wave pool fun.  Stanley of course had no fear what so ever!
Daddy and I took turns hanging with Stanley will the older kiddos went down the inter tube slides.  Another 3 hours spent swimming.  I couldn't believe how long they all lasted and could have stayed longer if it wasn't closing.  The best day ever!  This might have to be a yearly thing.

Saturday was Whaling Days in Silverdale and we went to the parade.
And walked the booths.  The kid got their hair colored with chalk, made crafts, and got lots of free candy.  They loved it.

That night we had some friends get together to have a picnic and play wiffle ball to celebrate Alex's birthday coming up.
Fun fun fun night with friends.  We are so blessed with amazing people around us.

That night was Emma's last night with us.  So we had some girl time.  Face masks, chocolate and breading each others hair.
Emma is the sweetest, kindest, super helpful, fun, beautiful young lady.  And I am so lucky to have gotten to have her spend a week with us.  Can't wait till next years adventures with Emma.

Sunday before we took Emma back we had to do Sunday bakeday with her.  She found the recipe she wanted to try.  Rolo pretzel bites.
Turned out pretty good.

Dads ;)

Other fun from this week...
I thought we might end up in the ER again.  While at the parade Stanley fell backwards in his chair and hit a rock.  Luckily it stopped bleeding and wasn't too bad.  Poor boy!

House was just way more fun with Emma here.

Life with Stanley summed up in one picture :)
