BAHAMAS

The time had finally come!  Our anniversary trip to the Bahama's!!!! We have been so dang excited.

Tuesday we headed out.

Nice and easy 3 hour plane ride.
Got through customs just fine,  My first passport stamp!
View from our hotel room, not bad!  Our flight got pushed back so we got in later than we wanted.  Had find somewhere to eat and then got settled in for the night.

The next morning we hit the beach.  It was beautiful and hardly anyone there.

The water was so nice.  Clear and warm.  There were lots of fish swimming around us but no scary wildlife.

We swam to these cool floating things in and spent a lot of the time soaking in the sun enjoying the ocean.

After we spent the morning on the beach we decided to go explore the resort.  We stayed at Atlantis and even though it was expensive it was so worth it.  Such a nice resort!
Raging river, not a lazy river :). it was probably my favorite thing at the resort.
We tried all of the slides!

There was so much to see and do.

Wednesday was our actual anniversary so we got dressed up to go out to eat.
Still looking good after 15 years of marriage ;)

Then we relaxed in a hammock while we waited for the sun to set.

The next day...
We explored more areas of the resort they had about 20 different pools.  Decided we needed to ride the Rain river again but this time race,  with cheating Alex won ;)

Had a fun (virgin) drink.

Then we had lunch by the dolphins.
And it was our turn to swim with them. They wouldn't allow us to take our phones or go pro with us so I have no pictures with he dolphins but it was amazing.  And it cost 200$ to get any photos.  That cost more than it did to swim with them.

It was magical, dolphins are amazing creatures.

More time at the beach... this time I collected beautiful shells while Alex relaxed in the shade.

Another gorgeous sunset.
Dessert time!
Last full day...
We explored all the marine life they had at the resort.  Which was way more than we had expected.  It was awesome!

Lunch time.  There were a couple stray cats that look liked they have had a pretty rough life.  I had to help them out and shared my lunch with them.
Then we spent some time at the lagoon area.

See what fish there were and then rented a giant bicycle thing to get around on the water.
That night the market place of the resort was having a festival where locals came in with vendors and food and crafts.  It was a fun evening shopping and exploring.

Videos from the trip.   The trip was absolutely magical!  So beautiful, so relaxing, and so fun.  There are things I would do differently but it was darn near perfect.

Time to head home.  Our plane got delayed and we ended up spending a long time in the airport, but eventually got home safely.
Now to get back to real life!
